I was scrolling Instagram when I saw someone hire a virtual stylist to remix her wardrobe. Together, they came up with ten combinations she hadn’t tried before.
I loved the idea—not because everyone needs ten new outfits, but because it’s so easy to get stuck wearing the same few combinations, even when there are pieces in your closet you genuinely love.

When I work with clients on their wardrobes, we often end up with three piles: pieces they love but don’t know how to wear, pieces they may be ready to let go of, and a list of the basics that could help everything come together.

It’s not about having a perfect capsule wardrobe or getting rid of everything that isn’t being worn every week. It’s about making your wardrobe feel more useful, more personal, and more like the life you’re living now.
1. The Style Pile: Clothes you love but don’t know how to wear
This pile is often full of pieces with potential. Maybe you bought a top because you loved the colour, but you keep reaching for the same jeans to wear with it. Maybe you have a dress you adore but only think of as an occasion piece. Or there’s a jacket you’re not sure how to style for an ordinary day.

We try things together. We might change the proportions, layer a piece differently, pair it with something unexpected, or find a simpler way to wear it in your day-to-day life. Sometimes one small change makes a piece feel completely new.
As we create outfits, we can take photos so you have an easy reference afterward. A quick photo can be much more useful than trying to remember every combination. You can swipe through the looks when you’re getting dressed and use them as a starting point.

Photos are always based on your comfort. We can use your phone or mine, keep your face out of the frame, or skip photos altogether. You get to decide what feels right.
2. The Let-Go Pile: Clothes that no longer fit your life
This pile can include things that don’t fit, pieces that belong to an older version of your style, or clothes you’ve kept because someone gave them to you. It can be hard to see those pieces clearly when they’re mixed in with everything else.

I’ll be honest if something doesn’t seem to be serving you, but there’s no pressure to make a decision on the spot. You get to decide whether to keep it, alter it, pass it along, sell it, donate it, or let it go in another way.
The point isn’t to judge what you bought or what you used to wear. Your style and your life can change. Your wardrobe can change with them.
3. The Wardrobe Gaps List: Basics that help everything work harder
Once we’ve looked at what you already own, the gaps are often easier to spot. Maybe a few versatile basics would help you wear several pieces in new ways. Maybe you need a layer that works with your favourite dresses, or a pair of everyday shoes that brings more outfits together.

I can help you make a focused shopping list based on your wardrobe, your preferences, and your budget. It isn’t a list of trends you’re supposed to buy. Sometimes the most useful conclusion is that you already have what you need.
A wardrobe reset that starts with what you own
A wardrobe styling session can be a place to experiment, make decisions, and see your clothes with fresh eyes. We can focus on the pieces you love but don’t wear, work through a broader closet edit, or identify what would make getting dressed easier. What we cover depends on your goals and the time we have together.

For a virtual session, you can gather the pieces you want to work with and tell me what you’d like help with. We’ll create outfits together during our session, and you can take photos as we go if that’s useful to you.

You don’t need to start with a shopping list. Sometimes a few new combinations—and a clearer sense of what belongs in your wardrobe—are the best place to begin.
