Snowboard Trip Packing Checklist

Some days I have the time to read a long post, and some days I just want to scroll down to the essential details I need. So today I've kept it short and hope that this packing list I've put together helps you quickly pack everything for your next ski or snowboard trip.

What To Pack

Snowboarding Essentials

  • Under Armour long sleeve quick dry long-sleeve top (got mine second-hand)
  • Merino wool sweater base layer
  • 3 pairs of merino wool base layers leggings
  • Polar fleece sweater
  • 3 sports bras
  • 3 pairs of ski socks (2 merino wool)
  • Snow pants
  • Snowboarding jacket
  • Goggles
  • Gloves
  • Helmet
  • Board & Boots
  • 2 swim suits for hot tubs and spas

Swim wear is essential because it's so enjoyable to get in a hot tub to relax those aching muscles after a day on the hill and to warm up. Plus, they tend to be pretty social if it's a shared hot tub for the hotel.

Since I wasn't planning on washing anything while I was gone, I brought enough base layers for each snowboarding day (we estimated a maximum 3 days based on weather). I brought additional layers like my fleece sweater I can re-wear since it won't be next to my skin. A side note for packing, rolling up these pieces saves space too.

Après Ski

  • Faux fur vest
  • Fringe shawl
  • 2 pairs of pants (wear one en route)
  • 1 wool skirt, 1 pair of tights
  • 1 wool sweater dress
  • 1 cable knit sweater
  • 1 relaxed wool sweater
  • 1 turtleneck sweater
  • 1 off the shoulder sweater
  • 2 silk blouses
  • 1 dressy t-shirt
  • 1 pair warm boots & 1 riding boot
  • PJs: 2 pairs of lounge pants, two comfortable long sleeve tops, 1 short sleeve top

What to pack for a ski trip

I wanted to have some chic but laid pieces for apres ski style. So I brought cute knits, and some silk blouses. Layers are key since you're going to be out all day.

I still wanted some PJ's that weren't just for bumming around. I got festive with Wintery prints and cozy leggings.

If you're more of a ski bunny, then you can tweak this list and add in more cute clothes and less utility pieces. Some days the conditions weren't great so we had fun trying out new places and experiences. Plus, I've been playing around with my GoPro too, which is a great piece of technology to bring along any trip.

Hope you have fun on your upcoming trip! Let me know if there are any other essentials you think I should add to this list.
