Sustainable and Organic New Mom Essentials

Today my baby Luna is 10 weeks old and Le Prix's Mom & Baby essentials have kept us going.

These products are some of our newest additions and they were completely based on what I've needed in the moment. I am a first time mom and I'll be honest... I had no clue what I was getting into, until I was in the thick of it when Luna arrived. Plus I've had these suggested to me by my midwife, pelvic floor physiotherapist and lactation consultant. Being a new mom is an incredible experience, but it can also be overwhelming and exhausting. With all the focus on caring for your newborn, it's easy to forget about taking care of yourself. However, self-care is crucial during this time to ensure your own well-being and to be the best mom you can be. Here are some important tips to help you prioritize self-care as a new mom:

1. Get Enough Sleep

Sleep deprivation is a common challenge for new moms, but it's important to prioritize sleep whenever possible. Lack of sleep can negatively impact your mood, energy levels, and overall health. Try to nap when your baby naps, ask for help from your partner or family members, and consider sleep strategies to establish a consistent sleep routine for your little one.

2. Eat a Balanced Diet

Proper nutrition is essential for your postpartum recovery and for maintaining your energy levels. Aim to eat a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. 3. Stay Active

Exercise may be the last thing on your mind as a new mom, but staying active can have numerous benefits for your physical and mental well-being. If you're experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness, don't hesitate to seek professional help. Therapy, support groups, and medication can all be effective in managing postpartum mental health conditions.

7. Accept Help

As a new mom, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking you have to do everything on your own. However, accepting help from others doesn't make you any less of a mom. Allow your loved ones to lend a hand with household chores, cooking, or taking care of the baby. Remember, it takes a village to raise a child.
