Every time I pack for somewhere warm, I have the same moment of hesitation.
Not because I don’t have clothes — but because I don’t want to bring the wrong ones.
I’ve learned (the sweaty way) that tropical travel isn’t about cute outfits. It’s about breathability, repeat wear, and how your body feels moving through heat, humidity, and long days. The pieces that look great on a hanger don’t always love you back when it’s 30 degrees and you’re walking, eating, exploring, living.
Over the years, I’ve stopped packing “just in case” clothes and started packing the ones that actually work — natural fabrics, pieces that mix easily, and outfits that feel like me, not a vacation costume.
That’s what inspired this blog.
It’s not a packing list you have to follow. It’s a set of ideas to help you dress for warm weather with more ease, fewer things, and a lot more comfort.
After a week in Mexico and another week in Dominican Republic coming up, here is what I’d suggest you take on your next vacation as your sustainable wardrobe stylist.
Which pieces are your vibe?
