Day 1 of my New York sourcing trip is officially complete — and I wanted to share a little more context about why this trip happened and what guides my sourcing decisions.
This trip came together because my partner is here on a work trip, and it created a window for me to source thoughtfully while we were already traveling. Whenever possible, I try to layer trips like this together — it’s a more realistic, lower-impact way for me to run Le Prix while balancing family, work, and travel.
Why New York?
New York continues to be one of the best places for me to source inclusive sizing, especially strong plus-size options that are often harder to find in resale spaces.
Accessibility in fashion matters. A thoughtfully curated wardrobe should exist across sizes, styles, and life stages — not just within a narrow range. Sourcing in New York allows me to find higher-quality, well-made pieces in extended sizes that feel just as intentional and wearable as everything else at Le Prix.
How I Source
Sourcing for Le Prix is not about trends or volume. I’m always asking:
- Will this piece feel good to wear in real life?
- Does it have longevity beyond one season?
- Can it be styled multiple ways?
- Does it support a more thoughtful, lower-impact approach to fashion?
Day 1 brought in cozy knits, easy layers, timeless staples, and a few special pieces with beautiful texture and detail — all pre-loved and carefully chosen to integrate seamlessly into existing wardrobes.
